More than 200 choirs from Germany and six other countries sang continuously for 125 hours, setting a new world record. The world record attempt marked the 125th anniversary of the Berlin Choral Association.

A record adjudicator accompanied the long performance at the Atze Music Theatre in Wedding and confirmed the world record after the concert’s conclusion. This was announced by The Record Institute for Germany (RID), the German-language counterpart to the internationally oriented record book from London.

From Monday to Saturday, the choirs took turns singing together for 125 hours without interruption. The organisers and record judges noted that singing together for 125 hours without interruption requires, above all, an enormous organisational effort as well as passion, cohesion and stamina.
