On this tour with trans historian Dr. Finn Ballard, we will be exploring a lesser-known (and ever-so prescient) chapter of Berlin’s history. Walking together through Schöneberg, we will discuss how trans Berliners – born and adoptive – shaped the history of Berlin’s LGBTIQ quarter.
We will see where trans men and women hung out together a century ago, pass by the Eldorado nightclub, pause outside the home of pioneers Charlotte Charlaque and Toni Ebel – and a lot more.
Our tour will be meeting at Meeting point: Meeting spot: Metropol, Nollendorfplatz. We will meet at 13:00 and leave by 13:10.
The tour will take approx. 2 hours and will finish by the Viktoria-Luise-Platz station.
