The history of the left is marked on buildings throughout the Berlin’s most historic and iconic neighbourhoods. This tour will take you on a journey from Karl Marx’s days as a student in Berlin and the city shaking ramifications of the politics he developed; through to the founding of political associations helping workers living in the slums of industrial revolution Berlin; and ending with one of Berlin’s most iconic leftists, the life and death of Rosa Luxemburg.
Our tour will be meeting in the middle of the Marx-Engels-Forum next to Alexanderplatz. We will meet at 1pm and leave by 1.15pm on June 15.
We will not be using public transportation — the tour will be entirely outside.
