Too much is never enough!

Our recommendations for Camp/ Anti-Camp, dazzling with a mix of substantial lectures and fanciful performances. The Queer Guide to Everyday Life hits HAU 2 on Thu, Apr 19.

Image for Too much is never enough!

Substance and surface collide and the spectacular flourishes in this three-day festival curated by the co-founders of Cheap artist collective, Susanne Sachse and Marc Siegel.

Taking over Kreuzberg’s canal-side HAU 2 theatre, performances by the crème de la crème of queer and drag performers from around the world intermix with discussions about that ever-ubiquitous yet elusive cultural category ‘camp’.

The festival bounces between camp and “anti-camp”, with a mix of substantial lectures and fanciful performances. Highlights include the Atlanta-based Jayne County (Apr 20, Conversation 15:00, Concert 23:30), New York band The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black (Apr 21, 24:00), and Brazil-based artists featured in Tropicamp (Apr 20, 18:30), in addition to Bruce LaBruce and Vaginal Davis.
