A 43-year-old man has allegedly stabbed his mother to death in Berlin-Mariendorf. According to the police, witnesses called the emergency services and reported seeing a man repeatedly stabbing a woman with a knife on a balcony at around 10:25 a.m.
Police officers managed to bring the woman, who was critically wounded, out of the apartment when they arrived on the scene. However, resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries later in the hospital.
The man’s motives are still unclear and a homicide squad is investigating the murder further. On Wednesday, Berlin police announced that a court is considering issuing an arrest warrant for the man.
