Dapayk & Padberg: Electronic, ambient, ethereal

Returning to electronic music after seven years, Dapayk & Padberg's new album In Between is perfect for those who want a way to bridge staying home and going out ★★★★

There must be something in the country air, as former Berliners Eva Padberg and Niklas Worgt, aka Dapayk & Padberg have come to realise. Having swapped their Mitte dwellings for rural life in Uckermark, the producer couple are returning with their first album in seven years.

They’re crafting music that lives in that in-between space

In Between finds the duo in a place of introspection, manifesting itself in an album that is both electronic and ambient. Worgt’s well-honed ethereal sound-design elements play against Padberg’s harmonious and cerebral vocals, from beginning to end. It’s a club record for those who are really into staying in or are just too old for the dance floor. But then again, this is the creation of a pair of artists finding themselves in nature once again, crafting music that lives in that in-between space. ★★★★
