Berlin has a well-earned reputation as a Mecca of sex-positive partying. There are numerous dedicated sex clubs and a whole host of sex parties. Navigating this world, especially as a newcomer, can be daunting. To help, we’ve compiled a guide to some of the main events – though we ask you to read up on the etiquette of these spaces before you go. Keep it safe, consensual and fun.
Torture Garden
For latex lovers
Beginning in London in 1990, Torture Garden is now the world’s largest fetish club with parties held around the globe. Six years ago, it landed in Berlin and quickly became a firm favourite on the kinky calendar. Uniquely, TG has always championed the misfit and provides a space where anyone’s fantasy can become a reality. Just go hard with the outfit or you might not get in. Typically, parties centre around a theme, so let your imagination go wild. If in doubt, look at their website to see what’s not allowed, or better still, use their Pinterest board for inspo.
Klub Verboten
For dedicated perverts
It might have started in London, but we know that Berlin is Klub Verboten’s spiritual home. Since coming here in 2021, Klub Verboten has quickly carved out its place as one the city’s best kink events. This self-described ‘pro-pervert’ party has a focus on fetish, BDSM and, above all else, consent and safety. They have a well-trained safeguarding team on hand to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Klub Verboten is perhaps better suited to more experienced perverts than first-timers, but everyone is welcome, so familiarise yourself with the excellent rules section on their website and make a date.
Lecken
For heated beats
Recently, Lecken Reloaded introduced The Play Pit, a new space in lieu of a second dancefloor at their new winter home, Kreuzwerk Berlin. If getting jiggy with your hips and loose with your lips is the vibe, then this space offers a transformative and immersive playing experience, hosting Lecken’s favourite DJs, meaning the beats match the heat. If you’re new to the party, the Lecken collective have been creating dynamic dancefloor experiences for eight years, always centering FLINTA and LGBTQIA+ participation. With a trained awareness team onsite, it means support is always at hand.

Pinky Promise
For colourful kinksters
The whole ethos and drive of Pinky Promise is to make sex positivity more accessible. Their events include workshops and educational sessions on topics like radical intimacy, non-monogamy and fem sensuality. This isn’t to say this isn’t a full-on party, too – every event has a massive cabaret-style show plus a stacked DJ lineup. The dress codes encourage people to have fun and express themselves with colour – as opposed to the typical black Berlin club wear. There is also a decked-out play area for couples and friends, so you can find space to explore, connect and have fun.
Four Play
For the Loud and Proud
When this party started more than eight years ago, every single kink party was all-black everywhere. Four Play encouraged everyone to embrace colour in their outfits, and they can take a lot of credit for spreading this vibe to other parties. The parties are legendary too, with people in the scene regarding it as perhaps the premier party in the KitKatClub calendar.

Kinktastisch
For friendly fetishists
Insomnia is Berlin’s foremost sex club and offers a tailor-made environment for sexual adventure. It’s open seven nights a week, with events ranging from those exclusively for sex to ones that also put a focus on clubbing and dancing. If you’re new to this space, Kinktastisch is the ideal event for dipping your toes in, as it offers the perfect mix of play and party. All fetishes and genders are welcome, and each event features special performances, toy tryout areas and DJs. There is also a safety team of ‘unicorns’ that are on hand to help keep things safe and consensual and give guidance where needed. This queer-centric party has been going strong for more than a decade, making it one of the longest-running sex-positive parties in the city. Taking place in the labyrinthian underground rooms of Alte Münze, Pornceptual is dark and hard, matched by a music policy that leans towards the deep and pounding end of the techno spectrum. It’s a winning combination that has brought the party series international renown with events also happening in places like New York, Paris and Tokyo. Pornceptual isn’t just an event series though; it’s also a platform for high-quality artistic porn.
Symbiotikka
For mid-week warriors
Working weekends or just gasping for a party during the week? Symbiotikka takes place at KitKatClub every Wednesday. The party has performers, DJs and a friendly crew of regulars. And if you really don’t need to work the next day, keep the party going at sssmile, the official after-hours from 6:00-13:00 on Thursday.

Gegen has earned its reputation as one of the city’s most uncompromising queer sex-positive institutions. Now taking its energy to cities like Athens, Helsinki, Paris and Lyon, it continues to expand without losing its edge. Not for the faint-hearted, Gegen thrives on challenging boundaries, inviting you to confront desire, discomfort and everything in between on the dance floor.
Revolting
For filthy fun
Typically only a venue for men, once in a while Lab (as it’s known) opens its doors to all genders who wanna get down and dirty. It is filthy, and we mean that sincerely. So if you’re hankering to experience what goes on behind the closed doors of Berghain’s basement, this is your calling. There is no dress code, so maybe don’t wear anything.
