Nation of Gondwana
The party place for riotous ravers, hippy hedonists and 24-hour-plus party people, Nation of Gondwana returns to its Brandenburg enclave, complete with its gigantic techno-ready stages and speakers. With a heavy cross section of styles and talents, the Nation puts most other festival lineups to shame. During the weekend, DJs CCL, Barbara Preisinger, Avalon Emerson, Dasha Rush, Gene On Earth, Josey Rebelle, Prosumer and Robert Hood will be spinning away on the festival grounds. There will also be live acts from Octo Octa, Portable and Luigi Tozzi.

WHOLE Festival
In the heart of tranquil Saxony-Anhalt sits a place called Ferropolis. Hidden in a former open-pit mine, surrounded by lakes and abandoned excavators, a festival of ecstasy takes place there once a year. Now in its eighth year, WHOLE Festival invites more than 30 international queer collectives, such as Pornceptual, Herrensauna and Gegen, to celebrate some iconic style choices alongside rhythmic techno and house. It’s a must-attend event for the queer scene.

Else x IsBurning x Body Language x Garage Girls

In the heart of East Berlin, Else is hosting an all-night house and garage night featuring IsBurning, Garage Girls and Body Language collectvies. Else will also be showcasing their flashy new sound system (the Lambda Labs QX3 for any audiophiles reading), and as usual, they will have oven-baked pizzas all day. There’s no reason to leave. You’re guaranteed to be dancing till dawn.

MAGMA Festival
MAGMA Festival has lined up a finely curated selection of bass music, alternative house, hyperpop, alternative R’n’B and dance punk DJs for a two-day event at RSO that promises to be interesting and immensely energetic. Already in its second year, the team behind MAGMA Festival has shown they know how to combine genres and book the freshest talent. This year, UK dubstep and bass pioneer Joy Orbison will be playing alongside R’n’B producer Erika de Casier, indie-forerunner The Dare, underground singer Yaeji and Berlin’s very own Meg10. With a lineup that’s essentially a who’s who of sought-after acts across genres, this weekend foray of cutting beats, bass and indie, dance, dub and punk music promises to deliver.

AUG 15
Rave the Planet Afterparty
Carrying on the original spirit of The Love Parade, Rave The Planet will once again tear its way through the Straße des 17. Juni this August. Founded by Dr Motte, the culturally rich, decadent celebration of electronic music in Berlin brings the most vibrant of vibes you could ask for. Following the event, the official afterparty will take place at Columbiahalle, featuring some of the scene’s most legendary names like DJ Rush, Nakadia, Tommahawk and Dr Motte. The afterparty’s crew will carry the rave on into the night, highlighting The Love Parade and later Rave The Planet’s formative, legendary sounds with a cross-generational selection of techno, house and other electronic sounds.

Convent – Parade After Party
Following two consecutive years of sell-out Covent Parade events, OST are back at it. According to the organisers, this year is going to be bigger, better and crazier than ever. Expect a heavy night with acts like Amber Broos and Acid Asian going b2b. It’s a mix you didn’t know you needed.

AUG 22
TFELD
The inaugural event for TFELD, a hip-hop-meets-techno festival, brings together the city’s biggest names in both genres. The open-air summer event takes pride in only booking acts from the German capital and will feature special sets from Berlin Calling’s Paul Kalkbrenner, rapper Pashanim, BPitch Control music label head Ellen Allien and the hoe_mies crew, to name a few. The atmosphere promises to be fun and fair-like, with a programme complete with a flea market, installations and a basketball court to boot. There’s even a secret headliner and an afterparty in the hangar supported by Watergate. There’s truly something at the festival for everyone.

DUALISM WEEKENDER
Starting Friday night going all the way through Sunday, DUALISM, SACHSENTRANCE, CANDYFLIP, and PFANDIDOS are joining forces for a united rave. The weekend is set to have an absolutely stacked lineup, with more than 50 artists keeping the tunes pumping over the course of the three days. No doubt there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
