The Dames at Klunkerkranich

Queer cabaret duo The Dames are lighting Klunkerkranich up with an evening filled with piano, karaoke, games, live music, singalongs and storytelling. Nzambisa will also be on the decks before and after the performances playing a vinyl set filled with jazz, grooves and world sounds. This promises to be the high-energy celebration IWD deserves!

SHOOTING SNOWWHITE // a f*cking modern fairytale

Part of Ballhaus Prinzenallee’s F Festival (F for *uck the Patriarchy) centered around the theme ‘Feminist Futures, Forgotten (Hi)stories’, SHOOTING SNOWWHITE is a powerful solo performance that reimagines the classic fairytale through a feminist lens. Oscillating between dance and physical theater, horror and humor, the performance calls attention to, breaks down and reclaims repressive structures in order to radically rewrite and resists them.

Purple Ride Berlin

This sunny day-long bike-ride across the city for Berlin’s powerful FLINTA* community is a great way to come together for independence, visibility, access to public space and a feminist perspective on mobility. Starting and ending at Mariannenplatz in Kreuzberg, this bike demo is a great way to make a big statement.

Community Gathering at Arkaoda

Feminist Guided Tour at Hamburger Bahnhof

In honour of IWD, Hamburger Bahnhof are offering a feminist guided tour of the works in Guilia Andreani’s exhibition, Sabotage. The tour will be focused on bringing a female, feminist lens to history through engaging with Andreani’s paintings, created and installed in order to question and fracture official narratives and truths.

Women’s Day at Teufelsberg
Teufelsberg will be hosting a thrilling combination of sports, dance performances and delicious street food in celebration of Women’s Day. Access to the daylong event is free, but even more priceless is feeling the sun beaming on your vitamin-D- depleted face on top of one of Berlin’s best viewpoints.

International Women’s Day Open Day

To mark this important holiday, the museum’s Pei Building will host two thematically poignant guided tours throughout the day: From Hildegard von Bingen’s Green Power to the Women of Wyhl’s Anti-Nuclear Movement and Spotlight On! Feminist Perspectives on the Exhibition ‘Roads not Taken’. The tours will take place in the exhibitions, exploring how women, as philosophers, artists, scientists, or activists, have engaged with nature and shaped our understanding of it in different contexts, as well as.The tours address the historyies of women’s rights and movements in Germany from both feminist and gender history perspectives.

International Women’s Day with Estrogun x Club Stamina at OXI
If you’re looking to dance your way through IWD, this femme-packed lineup at OXI are making things hot on the dancefloor. Prague’s Estrogun and London’s Club Stamina are coming to Berlin to celebrate IWD and they plan on making their trips worthwhile. Expect a night of headbobbing, shaking and jaw-numbing smiles.

Final Girls Berlin Film Festival
Now in its 9th edition, the Final Girls Berlin film festival is the city’s go-to event for transgressive, experimental screenings and conversations surrounding the horror genre, all with a focus on female-identifying and nonbinary directors and actors. During the four-day annual series, founders Sara Neidorf and Eli Lewy screen features and short films by local and international filmmakers and host workshops and talks, facilitating an exciting and community-driven cinematic experience.
