Berlin has around 18 Irish boozers. In preparation for paddy’s day on March 17, we’ve reviewed the best of the bunch.
Murphy’s
The latest Irish pub to open in Berlin, Murphy’s has a very central location, chilled vibe, smoker’s room and a really big screen for football. A culinary novelty here: steak sizzled on a piping hot stone right before your eyes. Guinness, Murphy’s, Strongbow, Newcastle and more on tap (€ 4.20/ pint).

Irish Harp
Berlin’s oldest Irish pub in the heart of C’Burg is just packed with charm, friendly staff and a killer, rather intelligent pub quiz. Irish pints (€ 4.50) and pub grub, including fish and chips.

Oscar Wilde
East Berlin’s first pub opened up during the 1990s building boom – and attracted loads of British construction workers at the time. Still an expat fave for pints (€4.40), sports, karaoke and the weekly Ye Wilde Quiz.

Blarney
Irish pub Blarney is ground zero for Berlin supporters of the Scottish football team Celtic – though English premiere league matches are also shown. The down-to-earth neighbourhood pub serves the usual pints at a reasonable €3.80.

Cliffs of Dooneen
Despite its gentrified Kollwitzkiez surroundings, this friendly little pub is holding its own. Pints are €3.80, they carry 100 whiskies from around the world, show all Bundesliga and Champions League matches and offer a decent bowl of Irish stew.
