As 13 percent of the world starves, 1.3 billion tonnes of food are wasted annually, lost to black holes like the aggressively secured dumpster at your local Kaisers.

While you nibble on those numbers, Berlin’s anti-folk darling Mary Ocher takes a break from touring for Restaurant, a Michelin-free, site-specific debut installation that imaginatively tackles food politics via a fantastical banquet of art à la carte.

After dishing up origami-like faux finger food and chimerical liquid canapés, Ocher follows with a second course of equally inedible camp performance, stats, speeches and plenty of time to digest the symbolic feast. Formal attire encouraged.

RSVP on Facebook. Free entry.
