Berlin: The third best city in the world?
It’s official, at least according to Time Out magazine. Berlin is the third best city in the whole world, behind just Cape Town (no 2) and New York (no 1).
The list of what makes the city includes some of the more famous highlights (clubs, galleries, status as the “European capital of cool”) as well as taking time to praise that essential feature of any city, its residents. “You’ll be sure to find your place with likeminded people in Berlin”, they write, before noting its good public transport system (well, not this weekend, maybe) and wide open green spaces like Tempelhofer Feld.
And it’s true: Berlin is a great city. Let’s take the opportunity given by us by Time Out to appreciate it. Who cares if there was an expat survey saying the exact opposite just two months ago?
