Summer’s back: Berlin temps to hit 29°C this weekend

After a run of soggy skies and underwhelming forecasts, Berlin and Brandenburg are finally getting their sun back. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), a wave of high pressure is moving in from the south, bringing with it rising temperatures and plenty of vitamin D.

Today kicks off with mild weather and lots of sun, though a stray shower could still sneak into northern Brandenburg or along the Polish border. Most places, however, will stay dry, with highs between 21°C and 24°C and a light-to-breezy west wind that should mellow out by evening. The night will be mostly clear with lows between 8°C and 12°C.

By Thursday, summer’s in full swing: expect sunshine, light cloud cover, and noticeably warmer air, with highs of 24°C to 27°C. And the good news keeps coming: Friday and Saturday are forecast to be peak summer days, with full sun and temperatures climbing as high as 29°C.
