Berlin police officer drugs colleague, then posts photos of her lying unconscious to dating app

A Berlin police officer is being investigated for drugging a female colleague at his apartment, then posting photos of her lying unconscious to a dating app – essentially offering her up to be raped.

Apparently the male officer has been suspended from duty, but is not currently in custody.

The alleged assault took place back in March, when a witness reported seeing photos of an unconscious woman on a dating app, and contacted the authorities. Police stormed the 36-year old male officer’s apartment, where they found the unconscious female officer and two bags of drugs. Berlin police haven’t made any further comments, and apparently the male officer has been suspended from duty, but is not currently in custody.

This isn’t the first time he has been accused of sexual assault and drugging his victims. According to a police spokesperson, disciplinary steps have already been taken. The case is also just the latest in a stream of recent police crime. In 2022, Berlin police initiated a total of 253 disciplinary hearings in their own ranks, with accusations including bribery, tax evasion, money laundering, drug abuse, and physical assault and sexual assault.
