Passenger bites inspector after being caught without ticket
A man travelling on the U8 is said to have attacked and bit a female ticket inspector at Berlin-Gesundbrunnen on Monday afternoon, according to reports by Tagesspiegel.
The 43-year-old inspector and two colleagues asked the 26-year-old passenger to exit the train after it was established he didn’t have a ticket. It was then, on the busy platform of the Gesundbrunnen U-Bahn station, that the passenger allegedly hit the ticket inspector in the face, before biting her on the arm. The ticket inspectors restrained the passenger until police arrived, and the inspector who was attacked only needed light medical attention at the scene. At the moment, it’s still unclear whether any charges will be made against the passenger.
