One dead and two injured in Schöneberg shooting

One person was killed and two injured in a shooting which took place in the early hours of Thursday morning. Much about the crime remains unclear, but the incident appears to have taken place at around 01:00 on the corner of Bülowstraße and Potsdamer Straße in Schöneberg.

One of the victims, a 42-year-old man, died from his wounds en route to the hospital. The two injured men are currently being treated in hospital: one is believed to have serious injuries.

Initial findings indicate that of the two injured men, only one was known to the man who was killed. The other appears to have been an innocent bystander, who happened to be cycling past the two targets of the shooting when the crime occurred.

The crime scene was still closed to traffic on Thursday morning. Three bullets were found in a red BMW car, and a bus stop was also hit. Eyewitnesses report that the victim who was cycling past when the shooting took place was shot in the leg.
