JPEGmafia concert cancelled after tear gas attack in Neukölln

During the performance of U.S. rapper JPEGmafia at Huxley’s Neue Welt on Monday evening, unknown perpetrators sprayed tear gas in the auditorium. Audience members immediately felt the effects, with several complaining of respiratory irritation. Organisers were forced to evacuate the building, directing guests from the concert hall to the car park for fresh air. The concert was subsequently canceled.

According to police, 17 people were injured as a result of the incident. Eleven were treated on-site, while six were taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment. The situation was serious enough for the fire department to officially declare it a “mass casualty incident,” prompting a large-scale response.

No suspects were identified at the time of the reporting, although police continue to investigate.
