Audience members heckle Hilary Clinton at Berlin event
During a special gala event for Cinema for Peace at Theater des Westens on Monday night, several audience members disrupted an appearance by former US presidential candidate Hilary Clinton.
According to reports from rbb, seven individuals in the crowd stood up and loudly heckled Clinton, accusing her of – among other things – war crimes, before being removed from the theatre.
When one man shouted out to Clinton from the audience calling for a ceasefire in the Middle East, Clinton replied: “If Hamas releases the hostages, there could be a ceasefire tomorrow.” She later dismissed the hecklers, noting that although she understands the strong emotions people are experiencing, “you don’t solve problems by shouting”.
