Yesterday evening, Berlin police arrested a 54-year-old man carrying a long gun, which could mean a rifle, shotgun, carbine or musket, on Kantstrasse in Charlottenburg. Emergency services were notified and when police approached the man, they asked him to put down the gun, to which he complied. They then arrested him.
When they searched the man, they also found a defective gas gun and suspected narcotics, as well as the demilitarised long weapon. The man claimed that he was taking the gun to antiques dealer, where he planned to sell it. Police took him into custody and further investigations have been initiated by the State Criminal Police Office.
