Another farmers’ rally in Berlin causes road closures
The farmers are back. From today, protesters with large agricultural vehicles will be blocking several central thoroughfares throughout Berlin, as reported by rbb.
On Wednesday afternoon, officials reported that from Thursday there will be “significant traffic disruptions”, particularly around Straße des 17. Juni in central Berlin.
Since this morning, a number of streets around the government district in Berlin-Tiergarten have already been completely closed off. You can also expect heavy traffic and delayed bus schedules, with road closures on Leipziger Straße between Leipziger Platz and Wilhelmstraße until Friday.
According to the Berliner Traffic Information Centre, more than 1,000 tractors, trucks and cars are expected to take part in a protest at Pariser Platz on Friday between 12pm and 5pm.
