So you managed to find that vintage leather bowling bag, bolstered your collection of 1960s silk scarves and picked up the next must have item in the constantly expanding world of vintage fashion but now, after hours of preening and self-admiration, it’s time to blow out and get tight.
So where will you go to show off your new (old) garb at the end of Fashion Week? Which juice joint or speak-easy will be the hip venue this season? Fear not, crazy cats – to close out Toast & Jam, Berlin’s first vintage fashion fair, C-Club will be opening its doors on Saturday, January 21, 22:00 to the most beautiful and (retro) fashionable amongst you. And that’s all of you!
Prepare to be entranced and seduced by the luscious Lady Lou, Berlin’s finest exponent of kinky cabaret and burlesque, taken on a nostalgic musical journey by DJ Flohmarkt and his eclectic collection of 7” vinyl (purchased exclusively at flea markets throughout the world) and to cut a rug with DJs Franky Fuzz & Sir Stan who will be bringing their popular Kreuzberg swing event along for the evening. Toast & Jam will close with the gypsy punk stylings of the ever so slightly unhinged Budzillus, whose swing infused folk music is certain to get those bubble skirts moving in triple time.
So ditch the squares and bring along your finest dancing shoes to the C-Club and its shady back room absinthe bar, just beware the Green Fairy lurking under the counter.
