Saying The Wrong Thing

Epic Comedy Berlin

Epic Comedy Berlin puts on a show every Wednesday, where some of Berlin’s best comedians try out some of their most twisted material at The Wall Comedy Club in Friedrichshain. Experience comedians, no filter – what more could you want to see on stage? Seat reservation is required and costs €2. After the show, attendees are asked to contribute what they feel the show was worth.

AUG 07

Dark Comedy Open Mic

This one’s not for the faint of heart. With a reputation as being one of the most depraved, twisted and vile shows in the city, this weekly Friday night attracts stand-ups who want to try out new material on the darker side. You’ll hear gags not fit for anywhere else, so if you’re easily offended then stay at home.

AUG 12

Dirty Laundry Comedy

Tyrone Stallone

Produced and hosted by Tyrone Stallone, this is your weekly wash, where comedy does the spin cycle. This gig showcases some of Berlin’s biggest oversharers. They don’t hold back the hilarious, intimate details you probably didn’t need to know. The retro-themed bar sets the scene, offering a cosy, warm space to come clean and maybe leave a little lighter than you arrived.

AUG 14

Friday Funnies

Patrick Moore

Hosted by funny man Patrick Moore, this weekly show eases you into the weekend with jokes, japes and beers. With a classic, American-style stand-up vibe, each week boasts one of Berlin’s best local acts or touring comedians offering longer sets, while newbies handle the warming up.

AUG 17

Wet Chickens Comedy Open Mic

Kristina Koteva

The Wet Chickens open mic revolves around the acts not being able to use old material, so everything has to be fresh. And the stakes are pretty high: if the comedians on stage slip up, they get sprayed by the host with a water gun! This show runs every Monday and is a free entry event.

AUG 19

The Improvised Stand-Up Show

This whirlwind of a show brings eight great comedians from the worlds of stand-up and improv together on one stage, and then they have make it all up as they go. Topics prepared by fellow comedians are projected behind the performers. Once they’ve seen what pops up, they have to go along with it and pretend it was part of their planned routine. The pressure is enough to make some comedians crack. You never know what you’re going to get as an audience member – you might end up in tears or curling your toes under after some serious stage bombs.

AUG 22

Director’s Cut Comedy – 3 comics, 1 mic

Gunther Frankenberg

AUG 25

Sammy Obeid

Punch L!neBerlin

The Palestinian-American comedian Sammy Obeid is coming to Berlin. He hosts the Netflix show 100 Humans, has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, America’s Got Talent and Conan, but he’s particularly known for his world record: 1,001 consecutive nights of comedy. Come see him add another night to his record!
