After a brief hiatus in 2024, Sx Tech EU is back, transforming Berlin’s iconic Funkhaus into a hub of sex tech innovation. What began as a pioneering conference in 2019 has evolved into a three-part event featuring the Sx Tech Conference, Sx Festival and Sx Expo from May 4-5.
Founded in 2019, Sx Tech EU has spent years fostering collaboration within the industry. Having sold out five previous editions, the conference has brought over 2,500 sex tech professionals from four continents to Berlin.
This year marks an exciting expansion. Steffen Hafenmayer, Sx Tech EU’s PR Manager, describes the upcoming events as “far more than just a conference – it’s a full-spectrum experience at the crossroads of technology, sexuality and culture.”
The Sx Tech Conference on May 5 remains the cornerstone, uniting sex tech entrepreneurs, investors and industry professionals for networking, product showcases and discussions on topics like cybersecurity and digital marketing. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with other pioneers in intimacy and tech from all over the world,” says Cornelia Steinbock, co-founder of Berlin-based audio platform xounds. “With my own app launching this May, I’m especially keen on talks around our values such as ethical AI.”
Meanwhile, the inaugural Sx Festival on May 4 is a vibrant celebration of sex positivity. It brings together content creators, sex workers and artists, offering talks, performances and a curated marketplace. “I am coming to the event with a curious eye. Looking forward to perform,” says Emmanuel, a local hypno-shibari artist and ‘SxTech EU Hero’.
Running across both days, Sx Expo is described by Hafenmayer as “a must” for curious visitors. It features sex dolls, wellness tech and big names like Sabien DeMonia, Evie Rees and Cherry Candle.
