Know thy shelf: Trödelei

Borrowing an idea from Sao Paolo, Trödelei fuses the flea market with the consignment shop. Sellers rent shelves to present their stuff; the market sells it. Other than that, it resembles a bog-standard second-hand store.

What Borrowing an idea from Sao Paolo, Trödelei fuses the flea market with the consignment shop. Sellers rent shelves to present their stuff; the market sells it. Other than that, it resembles a bog-standard second-hand store. Pornography and weapons are verboten though. The 200 shelves boast anything from a €15 last-season Topshop leather jacket to a used pair of Campers to a Lego set and a kitchen chandelier. At the time of writing, it’s hard to judge what Trödelei might be developing into and whether its business model is better for sellers or buyers.

Crowd Don’t be put off by the Pregnancy Hill location; the low prices here are just as likely to entice Kreuzberg trendsters and vintage-hungry tourists as they do bobo locals.

Entry price Free.

Beer price No booze or hot drinks. Soft drinks and snacks are available at Späti prices.
