No city does International Women’s Day (Frauenkampftag) quite like Berlin. A public holiday since 2019, the day sees the city filled with protests, performances and parties. Even though we’re missing out on a weekday public holiday this year, there’s still more events on Saturday than you can shake a stick (or placard) at. Whether you prefer to protest, celebrate female artistry, connect with other women, or just let your hair down at a great FLINTA* party, here are our Berlin International Women’s Day highlights for 2025.
Protest

Frauen*kampftag 2025
This is the big one: last year attracting over 4,500 people, the International Women’s Day March organised by the Bündnis für sexuelle Selbstbstimmung will once again fill the streets with campaigners for gender equality. This year, there is a particular focus on fighting against government cuts to women’s services such as domestic violence support.

Purple Ride
If you’d rather pedal than march, then we’ve got the perfect protest for you. Join this queer, FLINTA* only bike protest, raising awareness for self-determination and standing against patriarchal violence across the world. Purple outfits and demo signs encouraged!

Alliance of Internationalist Feminists Demonstration
