A surreal hotel comes to life for one night only in this immersive cabaret where the guests are strange, the staff stranger, and nothing is quite what it seems. On Sunday, May 25, Berlin’s Cosmic Comedy Club (Schönhauser Allee 184) becomes the scene of a theatrical fever dream: Hotel Peacock Blue – Varieté. Produced by the ever-inventive Hullabaloo Cabaret, and presented in partnership with The Berliner, this one-night-only variety show invites audiences to step inside a fictional hotel run by Enjo Flint — a bellhop with more problems than tips. What begins as a typical night on shift slowly unravels into something far more eccentric.
Flint’s attempts to hold the hotel together are interrupted by a steady stream of surreal guests: the disoriented Eva Clumsy, shape-shifting Jacky Lu, dramatic diva Muti Santarosa, and the mysterious Marta Karta. Each act reveals another door into the weird and wonderful, combining burlesque, clowning, drag, dance, and live performance into an evening that’s equal parts variety show and lucid dream.
With limited seating and a concept that blurs the line between story and stage, Hotel Peacock Blue promises an intimate night of absurdity, artistry, and offbeat elegance — unmistakably Berlin.
