Eurovision is back and the stakes are high.

This Tuesday’s semi-final already introduced an eclectic mix of acts, with Ukraine qualifying as the crowd favourite. The folk-rock band Kalush Orchestra, representing Ukraine, is expected to win the big prize this weekend. Tonight, the second batch of contestants will be put to the test, with Sweden expected to lead the charts in the second semi-final. As usual, German fans have nothing to worry about: as part of the “Big 5”, they always qualify.

So, want to know where to watch the Final this Saturday? Here are our top five picks.

AHA Berlin

The Allgemeine Homosexuale Arbeitsgemeinschaft is one of Berlin’s oldest LGBTQ+ organisations, and have been based on Monumentenstraße since 2010. AHA already hosts regular Eurovision karaoke nights, and with Eurovision’s cult status among the queer community, it is only fitting for them to host this year’s final at their club. Drag personalities Mimi Milano and Gundel Schlauch are presenting the public viewing, and there will be a live vote as well.

  • Monumentenstraße 13, Schöneberg, doors open 7pm, starts 8pm, admission free

Cafe Sterlitz

The cozy Cafe Sterlitz will also be screening this year’s ESC final. If you’re looking for a chill place to have a drink with friends and play games while watching this year’s contestants strut their stuff, this is the place to go. The cafe opens at 4, so you can also have a pre-Eurovision beer before the show starts.

  • Seestraße 104, Wedding open 4pm-4am, admission free

Looking for a place to watch the show where you can party afterwards? Rauschgold is another queer club that will host a viewing of the ESC final, including a “Grand-Prix-Party” with drag queen Herrin Deluxe after the screening. They don’t take reservations, but Rauschgold suggests you get there early. Doors open at 8, and the first to arrive will have the best seats.

  • Mehringdamm 62, Kreuzberg, doors open 8pm, admission free

Tipsy Bear

Probably the coolest queer bar in Prenzlauer Berg, Tipsy Bear is another top choice for your ESC viewing party. They will have TV screens set up around the bar and a big projector at the front, so everyone has a good view. Be prepared for a very busy night! There is no admission fee, but Tipsy Bear suggests you come early to secure a spot. Judy Ladivina and FKA.m4a will be the hosts of this party.

  • Eberswaldestr. 21, Prenzlauer Berg, doors open 7pm, admission free

Corner Spati presents: Gyrovision 2022

“Discussions of a deteriorating world all from the comfort of your local smoke-filled Spätkauf”, that’s what Corner Späti is all about. Taking a break from discussing all things European politics, this Saturday the hosts of Corner Späti will be Berlin’s top commentators for the big ESC Final. They will host the show at the Laughing Lizard Playhouse, the quirky comedy club underneath Belushi’s Bar in Mitte.

If you get lost, just ask the staff for “The Digout”: that’s the room they’ll be in. You don’t have to get a ticket, just buy some drinks at the bar, or give a small donation. Can’t make it in person, but interested in what the Corner Späti hosts have to say while you watch the final from home? They will also be streaming the show live on their Twitch page!

  • The Laughing Lizard Playhouse, Ziegelstr. 28, Mitte, starts 21:00, admission free
