The holiday season is upon us. The annual gift shopping frenzy has begun. If you want to avoid the stress of packed high streets and feel hesitant to buy from online retailers, check out our list of holiday season art markets, auctions and pop-ups. Each one sells artwork and unique design objects within a range of price points. Not only will you find sustainable, unique and personal gifts, but you’ll have fun doing it. As an off-space located in a former car repair shop, SPOILER has garnered a vast community of artists and creatives who flock to its regularly changing exhibitions. On December 7, SPOILER will host designers and creatives selling a range of products, from art objects to zines to fashion. With music, mulled wine and waffles, this market is surely worth a pit stop.

Berlin Artists Art Market: BAAM

The Berlin Artists Art Market, or BAAM, aims to democratise access to art with a regular art fair that invites visitors to shop across a wide price range with manageable entry points. BAAM’s 10th edition showcases almost 3,000 artworks alongside a busy programme of performances, DJ sets, art talks, art workshops and more. While art is a matter of personal taste, there is a gem for everyone among this sprawling display.

Weserhalle Art Auction

Since 2018, Weserhalle has hosted art auctions with works selected by guest curators. Bidding for the 15th and final Weserhalle auction will open on December 6, featuring 40 artworks by both emerging and established artists. Take part in this thrilling experience for the chance to secure a piece of contemporary art at a fair price. The auction offers the opportunity to get your hands on a unique gift for a loved one, or it could be an excellent way to invest your Christmas bonus in starting or expanding your personal art collection. PLATTE Warm Market

PLATTE / Instagram

Bridging the line between art and fashion, PLATTE hosts indie artists and performers to showcase and sell their work at Warm Market. Artworks and products will be available at prices of up to €200. While browsing what this eclectic market – set in one of Berlin’s coolest concept spaces – has to offer, you might find the perfect piece for an art or design lover. Notably, the market supports Kältehilfe Berlin through proceeds from its stall revenue.

Cuong’s Creative Market

Cuong’s Creative Market

Located on Kreuzberg’s lively Wrangelstraße, Cuong’s Creative Market is both a store and a gallery focused on contemporary illustrations and prints. During the holiday season, the store will run the event ‘Art aber Fair’ with extra opening hours on three Sundays in December. In addition, newly released products, such as puzzles featuring artworks by local illustrators, will be available to purchase at special prices.

Notagallery Winter Art Market

Not A Gallery

Notagallery, the project founded by the artist Ivan Gette in 2022, collaborates with artists working in a range of disciplines to put on exhibitions and art-related events. Hosted at their Art Embassy location on Friedrichstraße, the Winter Art Market will be a great opportunity to browse the curated exhibition, connect with and support local creatives and take part in live experiences, such as having your portrait painted.

Roundabout Pop-Up Shop

Roundabout Pop-Up Shop / Agile Argile

Taking over Neukölln’s Backhaus Projects space, the artists and designers of the newly-founded Roundabout pop-up will be showcasing ceramics, illustration, art prints, books, t-shirts and vinyl records. An eclectic mix of products made by creatives from Berlin and beyond will be available throughout the second week of December.
