MMX’s Show VI

OUR PICK: MMX is going art-mad this month, with 44 artists/performers. It's a sort of revolving door policy: one artist leaves each week, but only after curating a replacement show.

Mitte’s shape-shifting art space MMX is going art-and-performance-mad this month, as it plays host to 30 artists and 14 performers in six weeks. It’s a sort of revolving door policy. One artist leaves each week, but only after curating a replacement show. Each Wednesday sees a mini-opening, with performances.

As MMX heads towards closure at the end of this year, it’s becoming a hyperactive event-hub, with a Scottish film programme, a night-time flea market… and a virtual journey with the Kool-Aid Man in search of the sublime… we’ll keep you posted. In the opening set-up, Bernd Bleffert’s Klangkunst resounds throughout the east wing and Sarah Rechberger’s work oscillates light. Ivonne Dippmann unveils outdoor wall works and Kati Gausmann draws on clothes.

Enjoy it while you can – this is the penultimate show.
